In 2016, the Bouscat’s City Council organized a «Garden Festival ».

For this Festival they requested ATELIER D’éco SOLIDAIRE to come up with ideas to embellish the city trees. Alice, designer at ATELIER D’éco SOLIDAIRE decided to realize flowers from plastic beer kegs.

Why did she choose this material ?

The plastic beer keg is made from a very resistant type of plastic, waterproof and easily cut. From this material, Alice cut different sizes of petals that she paint bombed with a large range of colours.

The first year, Alice made 50 flowers for the City Council. In 2017, she was asked to make 25 more, and in 2018 the order changed a little, as she was asked to do something new to go with the flowers. She chose to make butterflies from advertising banners.
